It has been lovely to welcome you all back. I hope you have all had a wonderful break.
We have an exciting term ahead filled with creative experiences for our children and opportunities for you to develop your understanding of how best to support your child further.
Please do continue to check our school calendar for all dates.
We are also looking forward to the Spring Parent Progress Meetings on 7th and 9th February. These are vital in ensuring you are kept up-to-date with how your child is progressing. Please save the dates!
SAFEGUARDING
Keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility, including out of school hours.
For general queries regarding a child's safety, please telephone 01753 477321 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. For emergencies outside these hours, please call the Emergency Duty Team on 01344 351999.
If you believe a child is at immediate risk of harm, please dial 999 straight away.
ONLINE SAFETY TIPS:
Unfortunately, we have all received emails and texts explaining we have won something, are due a refund and/or asking for our personal details. In almost all cases these are scams. If it's too good to be true, it usually is. Please be cautious, do NOT click on any links and read the tips below.
Islamic Art
Our Year 1 children have had the most wonderful day creating Islamic art.
They have learnt about different patterns, colours, shapes and the effect light can have, and have produced some wonderful creations.
We look forward to sharing the finished creations with you shortly!
Is faith important to you? Do you attend a place of worship? Or do you hold humanistic beliefs? Would you like to share your experiences? If so, we would love to hear from you. Everyone is welcome.
Please contact the school office for more information.

I’m sure you will all be aware that there are very high levels of illness circulating in the UK at the moment – COVID-19, seasonal flu and scarlet fever (caused by group A streptococcus). The high levels of illness are putting increased pressure on the NHS and their frontline services. It is expected that this situation will continue for a number of weeks into the winter.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued guidance in relation to helping to minimise the spread of illness through communities such as schools. The guidance can be found here. Key points are as follows:
If your child is unwell and has a high fever, they should stay home from school until they feel better and the fever has resolved.
Good hand hygiene is key, so regular handwashing with soap and warm water is important. Catching coughs and sneezes in tissues then binning them is another simple way to help stop illness from spreading.
Adults should also try to stay home when unwell and if you do have to go out, wear a face covering. When unwell, don’t visit healthcare settings or vulnerable people unless urgent.
The flu vaccination is still available for all eligible groups. Getting your child vaccinated protects them and others they come into contact with.
We hope that this is useful. The School will be continuing to do all it can to protect the community and minimise any potential disruption for our pupils.
