Healthy Eating workshop a big success
As part of our new years drive to be healthier, the school invited 'Kevin the Chef' from The Windsor Boys School to impart his knowledge and help our parents to successful guide their children towards making healthier snack choices.
With a hall full of parents, and some little ones too, Kevin shared some fantastic insight into the challenges for parents in helping children to make the right diet choices. He explained about the 'Healthy Plate' and gave parents some advice on how to substitute some foods and condiments for healthier options.
The parents enjoyed tea and coffee, along with some healthy fruit prior to making some healthy wraps and enjoying them or taking them home to for their children to enjoy.
The sessions was a great success with wonderful feedback. With this being the first in a line of adult education sessions with our new partners in the Local Authority, we are very excited to see parents engaging in the 'New to English' course or IT skills for parents that are starting very soon.
